Dr. Tiwari received his Ph.D. from PGIMER, Chandigarh in the field of protein engineering, cell biology, and molecular biology in 2015. Then he moved on to the Department of Ophthalmology, University of Pittsburgh as a Post-doctoral researcher being trained in ocular biology research for four years. His project was focused on understanding the ocular surface and its homeostatic mechanism. Dr. Tiwari is interested in understanding the dynamic gene expression and epigenetic profile associated with healthy and diseased state of the eye. He received Ramalingaswami re-entry fellowship in 2020 and joined Dr. Shroffs Charity Eye Hospital, Delhi as a Scientist D. Currently he is using stem cells and stem cells derived factors like exosomes to promote ocular regeneration using in vitro and in vivo model.
