After completing her masters from IISc, Bangalore, Dr. Kapoor attended Max Planck Institute of Molecular Physiology, Dortmund to obtain her Ph.D in Biophysics. She worked on Biophysical characterization of interactions between oncogenic Ras proteins and bio-membranes. Further she carried her postdoctoral training at Max Planck Institute for Molecular Physiology, Chemical Biology Department for 7 years before moving back to India as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Chemistry, IIT-Bombay. Dr. Kapoor received Ramalingaswami re-entry fellowship in 2017 and further successfully transitioned to the role of Associate Professor at IIT-Bombay. She continues to work on host-pathogen interactions in the context of infectious diseases.
