Tumpa Mahanty earned her master’s degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Ropar in 2024, where her research centered on biomaterials, specifically the development of peptide-conjugated nanoparticles for therapeutic applications. In the same year, she began her PhD studies at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Her current research lies at the intersection of materials science and neuroscience, with a focus on designing advanced biomaterial-based brain implants to promote neural repair after stroke.
