Dr. Arnob Ghosh is an Assistant Professor in the Industrial Engineering and Operations Research Program of Mechanical Engineering Department of IIT Delhi. Coming from an Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering background from Jadavpur University, he completed his PhD in Electrical and Systems Engineering at University of Pennsylvania, followed by Postdoctoral research work at Purdue University, followed by his transition to a faculty position in IIT Delhi. His research interests broadly involve theoretical modeling and optimization of real-world economy and operations, with potential applications as diverse as power distribution, cloud storage and ride sharing.
He will share with us the story of his journey to a faculty position in India.
