Aseem Ansari is a Professor of Chemical Genomics and Synthetic Biology. In his graduate studies, he worked in the lab of Thomas V. O’Halloran. Aseem was a Helen Hay Whitney Fellow at Harvard University with Mark Ptashne. He is currently the Co-Founder of the S.N. Bose Scholars Program, Founder and Director of the Khorana Scholars Program, and a Founder of the WINstep Forward program. He was in the UW-Madison Faculty from 2002-2019 where he led a team of scientists studying a range of interdisciplinary problems of how information from the genome is stored and transferred. In 2019 He moved to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital as the Chair of Chemical Biology and Therapeutics.
