Dr. Chagun Basha is currently a senior technical specialist at the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India. He is an integral part of the development of India’s Science, Technology, and Innovation Policy in 2020 (#STIP2020).
Dr. Basha obtained his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Electronics from Universite de Rennes, France. After returning to India, he initiated his career in science policy at the DST Centre for Policy Research at IISc Bangalore. He was a Science Technology and Innovation Policy fellow at DST from 2016 to 2019 before switching to his current position. His areas of expertise include science policy, science diplomacy, and innovation management.
