Sci-ROI (Science and Research Opportunities in India) is a getaway for young STEM professionals all over the world to access professional opportunities across academic and private sectors in India. The annual event is designed to facilitate a seamless interaction of graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and research scientists with the senior policymakers, scientists, and entrepreneurs from India. Pre-recorded talks and panel discussions will be supplemented with multitude of networking sessions, discussion groups, virtual meet-ups and much more!
We aim to introduce a diverse range of post Ph.D. career options in India to our participants, who are currently engaged in research activities abroad. A great line-up of speakers from the traditional career path in academia and industry is accompanied this year with speakers and panelists from careers in tech entrepreneurship, research management, science communication, science policy, and patent law. We are also striving to promote discourse on non-academic careers by organizing sci-art competitions, ‘showcasing translational skills’ workshop, plenary talk on ‘how to communicate your science’ and much more!
