Sci-ROI roles- New Outreach activities, Graphics, Video editing, Job and Funding database management
I am a biophysicist by training. I use complementary experimental (single-molecule spectroscopy) and computational tools (molecular dynamics simulations) to study protein folding and protein-DNA interactions. I learnt about Sci-ROI during their virtual 2020 annual event when I was a final year PhD student. At that point, I decided that someday I would like to be a part of this organisation and contribute to this wonderful initiative. By volunteering at Sci-ROI, I am not only helping my fellow researchers who wish to return to India but I am also becoming aware of the various facets of this journey. As a member of the 2022 volunteer team, I shall assist with Sci-ROI reaching out to the Indian diaspora located on the West Coast of USA. Additionally, I will be a part of the graphics and video team alongside chipping in with managing the funding and job database.
