Darshan is a Grants Officer at the Office of Research Grants, Indian Institute of Science (IISc). With a foundation in scientific research and extensive experience in research administration, he supports faculty in securing competitive funding and strengthening institutional research ecosystems. Earlier, as a researcher at Davangere University and IISc, he studied endophytic fungi and their bioactive metabolites. He later worked as a Scientist at Gangagen Biotechnologies Pvt. Ltd., contributing to research in phage therapy and the development of antibacterial chimeric proteins. Bringing together laboratory research experience and grant strategy expertise, Darshan is passionate about building efficient, transparent and data-driven research support systems that enhance scientific productivity.
