I am a Phage Biologist at heart with a sound technical background in Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Omics, Microbiology, and Molecular Biology. I got my PhD in Biochemistry from the Dept of Biochemistry and Biophysics at Texas A&M University, College Station in 2018 and have been working as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research division within the United States Food and Drug Administration since then. My research focuses on bacteriophage biology, host-phage interactions, use in therapeutic settings to tackle antimicrobial resistance, and other potential applications. I am also a part-time stand-up comic trying out science comedy and a percussionist in a world music fusion band during my free time.
