Sangeetha is a Maria Zambrano Fellow in Nutritional Epidemiology and Public Health Nutrition at the Rovira i Virgili University, Spain. With a decade of experience in research, teaching and academic administration, her research focus on how diets contribute to obesity and related diseases. Focusing on disease prevention, she employs several methodological approaches: cross-sectional studies, metabolic studies, randomized clinical trials and traditional epidemiological analysis. Interested in improving standards in nutrition research, internationally and specifically in Asia, she aims to identify existing lacunae and develop recommendations to improve research practice through involvement in meta-research projects. She joined Sci-ROI in 2024 to understand the Indian academic and research environment.
